Grilling Local--Our Creative Process

A lot of our ideas for creative adventures and programs start with a simple phrase. |”What if…|”   From this little egg came these questions. What if we collaborated with a number of like minded restaurants to highlight local producers in our restaurants?  What if we ran the program for 2 full months instead of just a weekend so more guests could enjoy? The result: Grilling Local. From here we established the criteria.



 The Criteria


  • Each of the 4 restaurants were asked to create a menu highlighting local producers on each of 3 dishes.

  • Each restaurant was asked to produce 3 menu options with price points ending in 9.  Eg. 29 39 49 or 39 49 59 etc.

  • Each of the menus must be created by the local chef working in the restaurant

  • Wine, Beer and Cocktail pairings are also up to the individual restaurants but we recommend Alberta breweries and distilleries whenever possible.

  • The program is to run Sunday to Thursday every week through March and April.

It’s amazing to see the creativity that comes from our local chefs and the quality of produce from our local producers.  Unique menu ideas and the pairings! To die for.


In conjunction with the program, chefs were asked to create single course locally sourced lunch features priced between $15 and $18.  The results were also amazing!


The launch date for these amazing menus is March 4 so get your reservations in early at 403 347 4977 and prepare to be wined and dined.
